The advanced course in pain medicine is a comprehensive and practical course that covers various aspects of pain management, such as musculoskeletal ultrasonography, vertebroplasty, spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pump implantation, and head and neck procedures. The course is designed for physicians who want to enhance their skills and knowledge in pain medicine and learn the latest techniques and technologies in the field. The course is delivered online through live lectures and interactive sessions, with an optional offline workshop at the end of the course where the participants can practice the procedures on a mannequin under C-arm guidance. The course duration is three months, with two hours of classes once a week for 13 weeks. The recorded lectures will be available for one week for revision. The course will provide a detailed discussion of each procedure, including its indications, contraindications, complications, equipment, and steps. The course will also demonstrate the use of musculoskeletal ultrasonography for diagnosis and guidance of interventions, as well as the use of radiofrequency and cryoablation for nerve blocks and joint denervation. The course will help the participants to gain confidence and competence in performing various pain medicine procedures and to improve their patient outcomes.
