Exploring the Asian Pain Academy’s 4-Day Intensive Workshop on Ultrasound- and C-Arm–Guided Pain Interventions:
From March 12–15, 2026, the Asian Pain Academy hosted a four-day intensive hands-on workshop focused on Ultrasound (USG) and C-Arm–guided pain management interventions. Bringing together physicians and anaesthesiologists from across India and abroad, the program went beyond traditional lectures, providing a fully immersive clinical training experience designed to transform knowledge into practical expertise.
Moving Beyond Traditional CME
This was far from a standard academic session. The workshop emphasized practical mastery, featuring:
Live procedural demonstrations
Real-time, image-guided patient interventions
Interactive, case-based discussions
Supervised hands-on practice on volunteers
Participants actively performed ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and fluoroscopy-assisted procedures under the guidance of expert mentors, with a focus on precision, safety, and clinical excellence in contemporary pain management.
A Cohort Committed to Excellence
The program brought together a diverse and highly motivated group of professionals, reinforcing the Asian Pain Academy’s reputation as a leading center for interventional pain training. Among the participants were:
Dr. Zakira Banu -Anaesthesiologist, Anman & Nicobar Islands
Dr. Nikita Reddy- Anaesthesiologist, Hyderabad
Dr. Vaibhav Dhanoskar- Anaesthesiologist, Pune
Dr. Rudrasish Haldar-Anaesthesiologist, Lucknow
Dr. Surya Kumar Dube- Anaesthesiologist, Kolkata
Dr. Dipu Singh- Radiologist, Lucknow
Their enthusiasm and active collaboration created a dynamic learning environment, characterized by knowledge-sharing, professional camaraderie, and hands-on engagement.
Capturing the Experience
The workshop’s photos showcase moments of focused concentration, guided mentorship, and teamwork in action. Each image reflects the academy’s philosophy of transforming medical education into an interactive, skill-driven experience that directly enhances patient care.
Celebrating Achievement
The event concluded with a Certificate of Completion ceremony led by the esteemed course directors:
Dr. Debjyoti Dutta
Dr. Chinmoy Roy
The ceremony marked more than the end of the course—it celebrated a major professional milestone, equipping participants to confidently integrate advanced image-guided techniques into their clinical practice.
The Importance of Image-Guided Techniques
Throughout the program, special emphasis was placed on the critical role of ultrasound and fluoroscopy in improving procedural outcomes. Participants gained deeper insight into:
Real-time anatomical visualization
Accurate needle placement
Enhanced procedural safety
Greater effectiveness in managing complex pain conditions
By mastering both modalities, attendees are now prepared to deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions that elevate the standard of chronic pain care.
Designed for Real-World Impact
The workshop’s carefully structured curriculum combined theory with hands-on application to ensure maximum skill acquisition. Through lectures, live demonstrations, and supervised practice sessions, participants left with strengthened competence, refined techniques, and renewed clinical confidence.
