A Closer Look at the Asian Pain Academy’s Four-Day Intensive Training in Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy-Guided Pain Procedures:
From April 23–26, 2026, the Asian Pain Academy hosted a four-day intensive hands-on workshop on ultrasound (USG) and fluoroscopy-guided pain management interventions. The program brought together physicians and anaesthesiologists from across India, delivering more than conventional lectures—it offered an immersive clinical training experience aimed at transforming knowledge into practical, real-world expertise.
Redefining CME Through Hands-On Learning:
The Asian Pain Academy’s four-day intensive workshop moved beyond traditional academic formats, emphasizing practical expertise in ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided pain interventions. The program featured:
• Live demonstrations of procedures
• Real-time image-guided interventions on patients
• Case-based interactive learning sessions
• Guided hands-on practice on volunteers
Under expert supervision, participants performed ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and fluoroscopy-assisted procedures, reinforcing accuracy, safety, and high standards in modern pain management.
A Cohort Committed to ExcellenceBringing together a diverse and highly motivated group of physicians and anaesthesiologists from across India, the program further strengthened the Asian Pain Academy’s standing as a leading center for interventional pain training. Notable participants included:
Dr. Sayantan Sinha – Anaesthesiologist, Kolkata
Dr. Rupesh Goel – Anaesthesiologist, Uttar Pradesh
Dr. Abhishek Nanda – Neurologist, Odisha
Dr. Reena Sanges V – Anaesthesiologist, Tamil Nadu
Their enthusiasm, collaboration, and active participation created a vibrant learning atmosphere marked by meaningful knowledge exchange, professional camaraderie, and focused hands-on skill development.
Capturing the Experience:
Workshop photographs reflected moments of focused learning, guided mentorship, and collaborative teamwork in action. Each image embodied the academy’s philosophy of transforming medical education into an interactive, skill-based experience that directly contributes to improved patient care.
Celebrating Achievement:
The program concluded with a Certificate of Completion ceremony, presented by esteemed course directors Dr. Debjyoti Dutta and Dr. Chinmoy Roy. The ceremony marked an important professional milestone, empowering participants to confidently incorporate advanced image-guided techniques into their clinical practice.
The Importance of Image-Guided Techniques:
Throughout the workshop, strong emphasis was placed on the vital role of ultrasound and fluoroscopy in enhancing procedural accuracy and outcomes. Participants developed a deeper understanding of:
• Real-time anatomical visualization
• Precise needle placement
• Enhanced procedural safety
• Improved management of complex pain conditions
By gaining proficiency in both modalities, attendees are now better equipped to deliver precise, evidence-based interventions that advance the standard of chronic pain management.
