Discovering the Asian Pain Academy’s Four-Day Hands-On Workshop in Ultrasound-Guided Pain Interventions:
From March 26–29, 2026, the Asian Pain Academy conducted a four-day intensive hands-on workshop on Ultrasound (USG)–guided pain management interventions. The program brought together physicians and anaesthesiologists from India and abroad, offering more than traditional lectures—a fully immersive clinical training experience designed to turn knowledge into practical, real-world expertise.
Moving Beyond Traditional CME
The Asian Pain Academy’s four-day intensive workshop went far beyond a conventional academic session, focusing on practical mastery in Ultrasound (USG) and fluoroscopy-guided pain interventions. Highlights of the program included:
Live procedural demonstrations
Real-time, image-guided patient interventions
Interactive, case-based discussions
Supervised hands-on practice on volunteers
Participants actively performed ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and fluoroscopy-assisted procedures under expert mentorship, emphasizing precision, safety, and clinical excellence in modern pain management.
A Cohort Committed to Excellence
Bringing together a diverse and highly motivated group of physicians and anaesthesiologists from across India, the program reinforced the Asian Pain Academy’s reputation as a premier center for interventional pain training. Notable participants included:
Dr. Swathi Bommareddy – Anaesthesiologist, Hyderabad
Dr. Neeti Ajay Gupta – Radiologist , Delhi
Dr. Gautham HR– Anaesthesiologist, Tamilnadu
Dr. Kiran H – Anaesthesiologist, Tamilnadu
Dr. Anil Taneja – Radiologist , Delhi
Dr. Deepak Hembrom – Anaesthesiologist, Ranchi
Their enthusiasm, collaboration, and active engagement fostered a dynamic learning environment, characterized by knowledge-sharing, professional camaraderie, and hands-on skill development.
Capturing the Experience
Workshop photos captured moments of focused concentration, guided mentorship, and teamwork in action. Each image reflected the academy’s philosophy of transforming medical education into an interactive, skill-driven experience that directly enhances patient care.
Celebrating Achievement
The program concluded with a Certificate of Completion ceremony, presented by esteemed course directors Dr. Debjyoti Dutta and Dr. Chinmoy Roy. The ceremony marked a significant professional milestone, equipping participants to confidently integrate advanced image-guided techniques into their clinical practice.
The Importance of Image-Guided Techniques
Throughout the workshop, emphasis was placed on the critical role of ultrasound and fluoroscopy in improving procedural outcomes. Participants gained enhanced understanding of:
Real-time anatomical visualization
Accurate needle placement
Procedural safety
Effective management of complex pain conditions
By mastering both modalities, attendees are now prepared to deliver precise, evidence-based interventions that elevate standards of chronic pain care.
Designed for Real-World Impact
The curriculum seamlessly combined theory with hands-on application to maximize skill acquisition. Through lectures, live demonstrations, and supervised practice, participants left with refined techniques, strengthened competence, and renewed clinical confidence.
This intensive four-day program exemplifies the Asian Pain Academy’s ongoing commitment to advancing excellence in interventional pain education.
